STA 204 Statistics for Middle Grades Teachers (3 credits)Hours: 3 classroom + 0 lab/studio Prerequisite(s): P in MAT 101 or placement. Taught: Spring only Concepts of statistical description and inference as they relate to middle and secondary standards; graphical displays of qualitative and quantitative data; measures of central tendency, variability, and position; normal distributions; linear regression and correlation; patterns of association in bivariate categorical data; simulation for inferential techniques, including confidence intervals and randomization tests; use of statistical software.
