Introduction
Purpose
The Master of Science in Information Systems (MIS) offers a challenging curriculum to prepare managers in information systems and technologies. The program offers practical, hands-on experience and theoretical discussions of information systems and applications, especially in for-profit environments. The program is built on the premise that an information systems manager should be able to:
- Understand the current information technologies.
- Evaluate, adopt, and adapt new technologies.
- Comprehend the organizational setting in which these technologies must be implemented.
- Manage information systems as an organizational resource by making critical IS-related decisions and recruiting and retaining IS/IT personnel.
Office of the MIS Program
The MIS Program is in the College of Informatics (Griffin Hall Suite 400). For more information, call 859-572-6959, e-mail mis@nku.edu or visit mis.nku.edu/.
