The graduate programs in Northern Kentucky University’s College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) are designed to train healthcare professionals using educational models that focus upon the integration of knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors.
The graduate programs in CHHS are grounded in evidence-based practice with the intention of preparing healthcare providers for meaningful and productive careers through the creation of strong ties between community, clinical, and academic partners. The graduate faculty are mindful of maintaining a collaborative environment that facilitates excellence in scholarship, practice, leadership, and continuing professional education. CHHS houses the Nurse Advocacy Center for the Underserved (NACU) and the Nursing& Interprofessional Research Collaborative (NIRC). The college’s four schools - Nursing, Allied Health, Social Work, and Kinesiology, Counseling, and Rehabilitative Sciences - work cooperatively to address pervasive health problems to improve the overall quality of health of the people and communities throughout the commonwealth of Kentucky and the tri-state region.
The college reserves the right to change the program of study as needed to fulfill state approval, regional and national accreditation, and other certification organizations.
