The graduate programs of Northern Kentucky University’s College of Health Professions are designed to engage health-care professionals using educational models that focus upon the integration of physical, mental, and social health at individual and population levels.  The graduate programs are grounded in evidence-based practice with the intention of preparing health-care providers for meaningful and productive careers through the creation of strong ties between clinical and academic partners.  The graduate faculty are mindful of maintaining a collaborative environment that facilitates excellence in scholarship, practice, leadership, and continuing professional education.  Two centers within the College - the Nurse Advocacy Center for the Underserved and the Nurse Interdisciplinary Research Collaborative - are joined by its three primary departments of Nursing, Advanced Nursing Studies, and Allied Health, in cooperative efforts to address pervasive medical problems in the community and improve the overall health of residents of the larger region.
