MAT 103 Root and Rational Functions (2 credits)

Hours: 2 classroom + 0 lab/studio
Prerequisite(s): B- or better in MAT 102  or placement.
Applications of root and rational functions and transformations of their graphs. Operations on roots and rational expressions including solving equations and inequalities. Develops manipulative algebraic skills and mathematical reasoning required for future mathematics coursework. The completion of MAT 102 and MAT 103 is equivalent to many College Algebra courses.
