LAW 818 Legal Methods I and II (0 credits)


Prerequisite(s):

Legal Methods is a year-long required course for all students in their first year of study. The course provides fundamental information about the law, the American legal system, legal terminology, problem solving, the role of policy, and legal reasoning, both objective and persuasive. The course also focuses attention on the skills needed for success in law school, the bar exam, and practice: note-taking, critical reading, statutory interpretation, rule synthesis, outlining, exam taking, and time management, including maintaining a healthy work-life-school balance.
