The major in sociology requires the successful completion of 36 credit hours in the discipline, 29 of which must be at the 300\400 level.
Students majoring in sociology are required to complete a 15-credit-hour core and choose seven electives.
You should also know: A grade of at least a C (not C-) must be earned in the core courses, and a GPA of at least 2.00 must be earned in all courses that comprise the major.

Degree Requirements (36 credits)
A minimum C (2.00) GPA average required for courses counted towards the major.
Core Courses (15 credits)
A minimum grade of C (2.00) is required for each of the core courses.
Elective Courses (21 credits)
Select any seven sociology courses not fulfilling requirements above, at least six of which must be at the 300 or 400 level.
