HIS 555 Researching the Local History of Underground Railroad (3 credits)Hours: 3 classroom + 0 lab/studio Prerequisite(s): Junior standing. Taught: Fall only This course explores the various activities of enslaved African Americans as they attempted to abscond from human bondage by crossing the Ohio River, which legally separated slave states from free states.
