PSC 100H American Politics - SB (3 credits)Hours: 3 classroom + 0 lab/studio Prerequisite(s): ACT score of 24 or greater. Taught: Fall and spring American Politics is a course that explores how national politics in the United States works. Many journalistic accounts of American politics emphasize unsupported opinions and questionable assumptions. In this class, we will examine American politics based not on these opinions and assumptions, but instead on testable theories and verifiable facts. This approach, while not as flashy as what you’re likely to see on MSNBC or Fox News, will lead to a fuller and deeper understanding of the American political process.
