NRP 661 Non-Pharmacological Treatments (Psychotherapy) Across the Life Span (3 credits)Hours: 3 classroom + 0 lab/studio Prerequisite(s): NRP 660 . Co-requisite(s): NRP 662 . Taught: Fall only This didactic course will deal with non-pharmacological methodologies and interventions. (The course) It will encompass individual therapies, group therapies, reminiscence therapy, play therapy, family therapies and complementary and alternative approaches. Appropriate clinical application of each therapeutic approach will be explored. The use of self, the therapist-patient relationship, phases of the therapeutic relationship, teaching-coaching functions will be covered. ♦
